Social & Ballroom Dance in NYC & Westchester

My friends and I had an incredible time at this dance studio. We were a group of friends visiting our one local friend who comes here every week. They asked if we could join them at this intro to West Coast Swing class before the actual social dance itself. We all signed up and even those who hate dancing had a good time. It was very beginner friendly. Like most social dance intro classes, we were separated into a group of leaders and a group of followers. Our instructors lead us through different steps and movements. As a follower, it was easy to just follow the different leaders' guidance. In this class, they also really leaned into talking with your dance partner. We did some quick icebreakers with new partners before dancing. It was never too awkward because we would switch to a new partner pretty frequently. Because we came with our local friend, it wasn't too tough to find the studio. We entered a building and took the elevator to the dance studio. We found Danznik through a Google search just one month before our wedding, after deciding fairly last-minute that we wanted some dance skills and a short choreography… and we were scheduled for our first private lesson within 24 hours! Anton was fun, engaging, and skilled at tailoring his instruction to two people with totally different levels of experience (one of us had none 🙃). We had a perfect ~2 minute routine and a lot more ballroom knowledge after just four sessions, and all our guests LOVED our first dance!! Anton is an amazing teacher and we definitely recommend Danznik to any couple looking for a perfect wedding dance!

This is a friendly, warm, welcoming studio. Multiple ballrooms. Clean, well kept and organized. Sunday morning rounds with live DJ are a great chance to practice and improve on your dance.

My instructor shares his immense knowledge in American Smooth with passion and technical clarity. He dissects every part of arm styling, body activation and footwork in a relatable manner so that we can fully experience the essence of this dance. My husband and i take private lessons with him individually and as a couple. We improved exponentially in months!

This is a high level studio! I have been training sll my life and with other studios like Dancesport and You should be dancing, Pierre Dulaine, and others. I have startted again after years becsuse I have been so inspired by these people. My whole life has changed because i believe again. Super teachers like Anton, Tatiana, Nikolai,Sonia ...you will not meet better and their encouragement has meant everything to me! New York ! Try this studio!
