Bella Bierezowiec

Bella has always loved to dance, but had never taken lessons or attended a social dance until her college days in Boston. She dabbled in many partner and solo dances styles, but West Coast Swing swiftly and completely captured her heart. The beauty in creating movement with another human, completely IMPROVISED, fascinated Bella. The element of communication is her favorite part of the dance- possibly because she happens to be a speech language pathologist, who studies and teaches others about communication. It amazes her that two beings can simultaneously interpret music and create movement together, communicated through touch. An entire dance is constructed in real time by two people communicating to each other and the music…WOW!

Social dancing is Bella’s primary motivator of West Coast Swing. She has been dancing for 10 years and social dancing has always been her reason for loving the dance the way she does. No matter where she has lived (Boston, Sydney, San Francisco, Connecticut), she sought out WCS social dancing.

Bella also loves to teach and share the joys of WCS with her students. She is passionately exploring connection, communication, self-expression, and helping followers find their voice in their own dancing!

When Bella is not dancing, she is usually trying to catch sunshine, attending to plants, or trying to convince her partner to adopt a cat. Fun fact: Bella loves orcas for many reasons, but their significant emotional intelligence is a huge factor.
