Juan Alessandrini

Juan was introduced to tango at the age of 11 and comes from a family of dancers. In 2014, he was invited to teach at Forever Tango’s Broadway stars Carolina Zokalski and Diego Di Falco’s “Authentic Argentine Tango school” in the United States. For the last 10 years, he has been actively teaching and performing at various venues in the tri-state area. These include the Authentic Argentine Tango School, Pedro Guiraudo’s Latin Grammy Quintet show, Vivid Ballroom School, Hudson Riverfront Performing Arts, and multiple milongas such as Milonga Pantera, El Chamuyo Milonga, Milonga Trucha, and others. Juan has also been featured in popular music videos like “Que Pena” by Sony Music recording artist MALUMA and Sophia Angelica’s “Eyes That Stare.”

He prefers teaching in the traditional style of Tango, believing in the importance of authentic principles as the foundation for any Tango dancer. This includes proper leading and following techniques, learning the embrace essential for partner connection, and interpreting music. Recently, he has performed across the USA with Latin Grammy winner Raul Jaurena’s Trio, in shows like Camarada Tango in San Diego, “Souls of Tango,” and Leonardo Suarez Paz’s “Cuartetango Show” at the Argentine Consulate in New York City. Juan advocates for the traditional style of tango, asserting that authentic principles provide the best foundation for any tango dancer.
